Stefano Mainetti received in 1985 his degree in Electronic Engineering from Politecnico di Milano. Currently he is the Chief Executive Officer of PoliHub, the business incubator of Politecnico di Milano. He is also ajunct professor of the Faculty of MIP-Politecnico di Milano in the area of “Management of Information System”.
He is director of the area “Innovazione Digitale” of Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, applied research area dedicated to technology transfer to italian enterprises and public administration. He has been participating to various research projects. In particular, he is a co-director of the Observatories on “Startup Intelligence”, “Enterprise Application Governance”, “Cloud Computing and ICT as a Service” of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano.
He is a component of the Scientific Commettee of the Centre of Company Culture of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Craft Trade and Agriculture of Milan and Board Member Italia Startup Association.
He is founder and chairman of WebScience srl (www.webscience.it) a company born with the goal of emphasize knowledge and research in complementary sectors, translating them into digital transformation projects for its clients. WebScience is a spin-off of the EBLab Research Centre of Politecnico Innovazione (Politecnico di Milano).
Specialties: His interests include business innovation based on Information and Communication Technologies. He has always been interested in the relationship between tecnology and management culture. In these last years he embraced a multidisciplinary approach on studying Internet evolution and its impact on people and companies.
He has published books and papers on national and international journals and conference proceedings.
