Andrea Santagata è Chief Innovation Officer e Vice Direttore Generale dell’area Periodici del Gruppo Mondadori, dove è entrato nel 2016 in seguito all’acquisizione di Banzai Media. E’ inoltre membro del cda Mediamond e Adkaora.

Ha avviato la propria carriera nel 1999 a Libero.it. Dal 2004 al 2007 è stato direttore marketing di Virgilio. Fondatore di Splinder, la prima piattaforma blog italiana, e delle start-up Liquida e Sitonline, entra in in Banzai nel 2007 per diventare CEO di Banzai Media nel 2009 fino alla sua acquisizione da parte di Mondadori nel 2016. Dal 2014 al 2016 è stato inoltre CEO della concessionaria Gold5.

Father of Giulio and Stella. Internet is both my job and my passion. My experience begins in 1999 in Libero.it. From 2001 to 2007 I had the opportunity to join and train myself in Matrix, the “Italian web school”, where from 2004 to 2007 I was in charge of the Marketing Direction of Virgilio. In 2002, out of passion, I founded with some friends Splinder, the first Italian blog platform. In 2007 I founded Liquida, a startup in the field of user-generated content and Sitonline, a service for the creation of professional websites in self-provisioning mode. From 2009 to 2016, I served as Managing Director of Banzai Media, the digital media company of Banzai Group. Banzai Media was composed of a team of two hundred talents and has developed some of the most important Italian digital properties including: Giallozafferano, Studenti. it, Pianeta Donna, Pianeta Mamma, Mypersonaltrainer, Studenti.it, Il Post, Liquida and Altervista. In 2016 Banzai Media was acquired by Mondadori and from that moment on I became the manager of Mondadori Digital, the business unit born from the merger of the digital activities of Mondadori magazines and Banzai Media itself. Mondadori Digital is now one of the most important Italian digital publishers.
